Turmeric (or curcumin) can reliably reduce markers of inflammation and increase the levels of antioxidants in the body. Research supports a small to moderate improvement in the symptoms of depression and anxiety, and pain and function in osteoarthritis. A reduction in LDL-cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure is possible, but the research is less consistent and more is needed.

I have been taking Turmeric supplements and drinking turmeric tea for three weeks now in a bid to ease my joint pain and stiffness. I have noticed a definite improvement with the pain easing and being able to sleep better. I have had a couple of busy days and not taken the pills and the pain is back. My mood has also had a big dip today. Will get back on the supplements and report back.
Tumeric (cucumin) combined with Black Pepper is 200% more effective. Read in a Harvard review I think it was. Highly recommend it. Get mine through H&B when they have the buy one get one for penny deal.
My partner ordered some Turmeric paste as he has alot of pain in his legs due to a spinal injury he has. He suggested I take some too for my various aches and pains and its a game changer!! I bathed our Staffy and twisted my back getting her out of the bath! My god the pain! But because we were using the paste the pain was gone in two days!! We have currently run out and all the stiffness I feel in my joints is back! Our next order is on its way so am looking forward to it and really recommend it, It is claimed to help alot of ailments but I can vouch for it easing joint pains!
I used to take Glucosamine for joint pain (proper old lady knee pain) but since adding turmeric as a supplement I rarely get any knee pain.
I actually take turmeric for circulation and it works really well for that. Before my periods stopped, it also kept me very regular.
I have been using cooking Turmeric. I add it to soya milk and have a cup in the morning. During the day, I have Turmeric and Ginger tea during the day. I find it really makes me more agile. I volunteer in prison as a chaplain, the estate has acres of walking space and no lifts. I found Turmeric really helpful. During times of anxiety and every thought seems heightened, I use Kalms tablets for the day and night. I live in the UK and get them from my local Holland and Barretts. I continue to learn about my body and mind. My faith, being organised and healthy and fit helps me immensely. However, I am struggling with keeping sweet things at bay. I have just registered myself on a keeping Diabetes away course. I believe that the sweet delicacies bring on the hot flushes. Ever since I have been managing my sweet confectionery intake, I rarely have hot flushes now. I eat a lot of Mackerel fish and use Cod Liver Oil and vitamin D and Garlic tablets. All of this helps me manage the menopause.
I just started taking tumeric supplements to manage the very strange hot foot symptom that just started and over a few days it’s really helped. Very happy I stumbled upon this natural remedy.
